About Me

Hi there! I am Brittany - A family documentary photographer in Buffalo, NY. I am also a full-time college professor, a mom of 2 wonderful daughters, and a dog mom. I have had a camera in my hand since I was in elementary school, capturing every moment - always. When I started my photography business, I focused on a mix of posed sessions and lifestyle sessions. however, I realized, my passion sat elsewhere.

I became a mom, life moved fast, and the newborn days became blurry.

I would sit with my daughters reading a book before bed - Wishing I had this moment captured.

I would be in our playroom with my toddler, who was making me a play-food sandwich (that consisted of peanut butter, jelly, lettuce, and chips), hearing her say "Here You Go Mama" - wishing I had that moment captured forever.

I would see my almost 2-YEAR-OLD run up and kiss her newborn sister unprompted, then tickle her feet laughing - wishing I had that moment captured forever.

These moments made me realize that while for the longest time I always just hoped to have a picture of all of us smiling and looking at the camera, that i would much rather remember these real, pure moments instead. The chaos, the heartfelt hugs and kisses, the tantrums - everything that made our life what it truly was. I wanted perfect pictures of the imperfect daily live we lived. 

... and so - I decided to completely change my photography business, with the goal of providing you a perfect gallery of your imperfect daily life. I don't focus on perfect outfits, I don't focus on forced smiles, I don't make the kids stand in one place. You have fun, you live your daily life, you can even brush your teeth, and I will be there capturing it all.
